🌐Connected Insights – Advanced Analytics & Decision Support

ℹ️ Availability: Connected Insights is an optional add-on and is not automatically activated for all customers. Availability depends on the booked package and individual configuration. Talk to your flowit contact person to learn more.

This article gives you an overview of Connected Insights — what it is, when it's worth using, and what value it offers you as a leader.

🔍 Overview

Connected Insights extends flowit with AI-powered analytics and decision logic. While flowit already delivers valuable insights through reviews, feedback, and development data, Connected Insights connects this information into overarching, decision-ready insights.

The focus is on early detection: instead of reacting only once KPIs drop, Connected Insights helps you understand where developments are emerging — and why.

🖥️ What Connected Insights looks like

At a glance, leaders see everything they need to know about the health of their workforce.

At the top, every leader gets an overview of the most important metrics for their area of responsibility — for example, how favorable the conditions for peak performance are, or how high the flight risk is.

Below that, the platform shows the topics currently moving the workforce the most. Right next to it, leaders regularly receive insights on any topic they personally care about. On-demand diagnostics bring the latest findings from organizational psychology directly into the company.

In the bottom right, leaders find their AI companion — the heart of the entire suite. They can ask any question, and it answers based on the most current data signals. It surfaces insights and trends across the whole company or per team, explains the reasons behind them, and helps find a way forward even in difficult situations.

🏗️ How flowit is structured

flowit is structured across three logically interconnected layers:

  1. Modules — where data is generated

  2. Data and context layer — where data is connected

  3. Connected Insights — where decisions are prepared

The underlying mechanism follows a closed loop:

Data → Context → Insights → Decisions → Actions → new Data

This creates a continuous learning and steering process rather than a one-off analysis.

🔎 Layer 1: Modules as the data foundation

The modules provide different, complementary perspectives:

  • Engagement — sentiment, perception, trends

  • Performance / Reviews — feedback, goal clarity, alignment

  • Development — skills, potential, development paths

  • Growth — learning activities, implementation, change support

Only in combination does a reliable overall picture emerge: What is happening, why is it happening — and where is the most effective lever?

🔗 Layer 2: The context layer

flowit centralizes and structures all feedback and development data in a consistent data space. Among the things connected are:

  • Teams, departments, locations

  • Roles and target groups

  • Timelines and cycles

  • Topics, review types, competency models

  • Cross-module relationships (e.g., engagement ↔ reviews ↔ skill gaps ↔ learning measures)

This makes patterns explainable, not just visible.

🧠 Layer 3: Connected Insights as the decision engine

This is exactly the logic behind the dashboard shown above. Connected Insights transforms data into actionable orientation — in four steps:

Step

What happens

1. Transparency

Aggregated dashboards, trends, and changes across teams and time periods

2. Explanation

Cross-module relationships and possible causes become visible

3. Prioritization

Focus on the highest-impact levers, less manual analysis effort

4. Action

Concrete, action-oriented recommendations for everyday leadership

🧭 Operational and strategic use

Operational — day-to-day leadership:

  • Recognize early warning signals

  • Prepare conversations in a targeted way

  • Support teams individually

Strategic — HR & C-level:

  • Identify organization-wide patterns

  • Reduce blind spots

  • Systematically evaluate the effectiveness of measures

🕒 When is Connected Insights especially worthwhile?

Connected Insights is particularly helpful when:

  • Developments are recognized too late

  • Multiple teams, locations, or shifts need to be compared

  • Traditional reports don't provide a clear explanation

  • Leaders need early orientation

Typical questions include, for example:

  • Why is one area developing differently from the rest of the organization?

  • Where are risks emerging before they become operationally visible?

  • Which topics deserve attention now — and which don't (yet)?

📊 Impact and success factors

Typical effects with clean implementation:

  • 30–60% less manual analysis effort

  • 20–40% faster decision cycles

  • Higher effectiveness of measures through a clear focus on root causes

⚠️ Connected Insights is not a reporting tool, but flowit's strategic intelligence layer — human-centered, context-based, and decision-oriented.
