In this article, you’ll learn how to efficiently create, edit, and manage survey guides within the flowit platform. These guides are a central element in structuring and standardizing feedback processes in surveys.
🔍 What Are Survey Guides?
Survey guides are templates that serve as a structured aid during the survey process. They define questions, topics, and evaluation criteria, helping ensure consistency and quality in the feedback process.
🧭 Features at a Glance
Currently, it is not possible for customers to create survey templates independently. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager for assistance.
As a user, you can create a survey from scratch. Here’s how it works:
Create a new survey and either select an existing guide to customize,
or choose the “Empty Survey Template” to build a completely new guide.
Once you’ve created your new guide, you can immediately send it out as a survey to your employees.
💡 Note: If you’d like to save a newly created guide as a reusable template, please contact your Customer Success Manager. They can add the template to the system for you.
🧠 Understanding Question Types for Guide/Template Creation

🎚️ Defining Rating Scales
This feature is available across all flowit modules. In surveys, the rating scale can be set individually for each question.
Click the Edit icon to modify a question as usual.
Then choose the scale on which the question should be answered.
When analyzing surveys – on the AI dashboards – the scales will continue to appear via mouseover, so nothing changes here.
💡 Tip: We recommend using a single scale across all questions in a survey to maintain clarity and comparability.
✅ Why Is This Useful?
Standardization: Ensures consistent evaluation criteria across all surveys.
Efficiency: Reusable templates save time when setting up new surveys.
Flexibility: Customizable for different teams, roles, or survey cycles.
