🌟 Overview: Benchmarking in flowit

Updated over 5 months ago

The new Benchmarking feature in flowit brings powerful comparison tools to your fingertips. Whether you're a team lead or working with organization-wide insights, this update helps you better understand how teams, roles, or even industries stack upβ€”so you can turn data into impact.

πŸ” What is Benchmarking?

Benchmarking allows you to compare survey results across different groups, such as:

  • Teams

  • Job roles

  • Age groups

  • Industry averages

With this feature, you can easily identify strengths and areas for improvement in a visual and intuitive way.

🧭 Where to Find It

You’ll find the Benchmarking button (Compare groups) on the AI Dashboard. Just click it, and you’ll be guided through the comparison setup.

πŸ› οΈ How It Works

  1. Define your comparison groups

You can group users based on team affiliation or other stored user attributes (e.g., job title, location, etc.).

  2. View results

For each rating question, you'll see average scores displayed in bar charts. Hover over group names to see which users are included.

  3. Section-based analysis

If your survey has multiple sections, you can choose to analyze by section instead of individual questions.

  4. Add averages

    Use the dropdown to:

    • Add survey-wide averages

    • Compare with industry benchmarks (based on data from FHNW and Kalaidos University)

  5. The bars will change color to reflect performance:

    • 🟩 Green: Above average

    • 🟧 Orange: Near average

    • πŸŸ₯ Red: Below average

  6. Download your data

Export results to Excel for deeper analysis or reporting.

πŸ‘₯ Who Can Use It?

All users with Insight Rights on the AI Dashboard have access to this feature.

  • Team Leads can compare groups within their own teams and benchmark against overall survey averages.

  • Admins can define broader comparison groups across the organization.
