πŸ“‹ Managing Review Templates: Overview & Guide

Updated over 5 months ago

In this article, you'll learn how to efficiently create, edit, and manage review guides within the flowit platform. These guides are a key element in structuring and standardizing feedback processes during reviews.

πŸ” What Are Review Guides?

Review guides are templates used as a structured aid during a review process. They define questions, topics, and evaluation criteria, ensuring consistency and quality throughout the feedback process.

🧭 Features at a Glance

You can find the tools for managing your review guides under the Reviews section in the menu bar. Navigate to the Templates tab to access all available templates. The templates are organized into three tabs:

πŸ“š flowit

Contains all templates provided by flowit.

  • Includes both a general guide library and custom templates specifically created for you as a customer.

✍️ Custom

Displays all templates created directly by you or your team on the platform – both active and inactive.

  • Here, you can edit, delete, or further develop templates.

βœ… Active

Shows all currently active guides.

  • Only active templates can be used when creating a new review.

πŸ› οΈ Creating or Editing Your Own Templates

To design your own guide, simply click on Create New Template:

  • You can start with a blank template (Reviews empty template) – ideal for building a structure from scratch.

  • Or you can select an existing template as a base and customize it to fit your needs.

This flexibility allows you to tailor guides precisely to your requirements – whether for specific teams, roles, or review cycles. 🧩

🎚️ Defining Rating Scales

This feature is available across all flowit modules. In reviews or surveys, the scale can be set individually for each question.

  • Click the Edit icon to modify a question as usual.

  • Then select the scale on which the question should be answered.

When analyzing surveys or reviews – on the AI dashboards – the scales are still shown via mouseover, so nothing changes there.

πŸ’‘ As a best practice, we recommend using a single scale across all questions in a survey or review to ensure clarity and comparability.

βœ… Why Is This Useful?

  • Standardization: Provides a consistent evaluation basis for all reviews.

  • Efficiency: Reusable templates save time when setting up new reviews.

  • Flexibility: Customizable for different teams, roles, or review cycles.
