🌟 Understanding Evaluations: Features, Use Cases, and Benefits

Updated over 6 months ago

Evaluations are a powerful tool to reflect on your goals and competencies regularly. They help you keep track of your personal development and ensure transparency—especially in relation to your set competencies. This guide explains the features of the Evaluation section, when to use them, and why they're valuable.

🔍 Where to Find Evaluations

From your dashboard, access the Evaluations section via the left sidebar. You’ll find two tabs:

  • Active: Ongoing evaluations that you can still fill out.

  • Past: Completed evaluations that are no longer editable.

✅ Active Evaluations

In the Active tab, evaluations are grouped into two areas:

  • Teams (Top): Evaluations where you act as an evaluator (e.g., as a manager).

  • Personal (Bottom): Evaluations where you're being evaluated or are conducting a self-assessment.

💡 Evaluations that have expired but are still incomplete are marked with a red bar for quick visibility.

🚀 Starting an Evaluation

You can begin an evaluation in two ways:

  • Click directly on the desired evaluation.

  • Select “Start Evaluation Series” to begin a full sequence.

💤 Marking Absences

If you're unavailable—or someone from your team is—you can mark the absence easily:

  1. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the relevant evaluation.

  2. Choose the appropriate reason:

    • I'm on vacation

    • I'm absent

    • I'm sick

    • Team member unavailable

📁 Past Evaluations

The Past tab shows all evaluations that have been completed.

Note: Only evaluations where both parties (e.g., you and your manager) have submitted their input are fully visible in this section.

🎯 Why Use Evaluations?

  • Gain insights into your development over time.

  • Stay aligned with your goals and competencies.

  • Encourage open and regular feedback culture.

  • Maintain transparency between teams and leadership.
