πŸƒ Development Cards: Overview & Use Cases

Updated over 6 months ago

Development cards are powerful tools that make your individual strengths, values, and competencies visible – and help you actively develop them. Here's how they work and why they're so valuable.

🌟 What Are Development Cards?

Development cards come in two types:

  • Value Cards – Show what matters most to a person

  • Competency Cards – Highlight a person's abilities and potential

They provide a shared language for meaningful conversations, support focused development, and turn abstract strengths into something concrete and actionable.

πŸ“ Where Can I Use Development Cards?

You can use development cards in two main areas on the platform:

1. In Your Own Profile

Go to the β€œDevelopment Cards” section to select cards for yourself at any time.

This is great for:

  • Self-reflection

  • Preparing for development talks
You can also set a personal card goal for each selected card – a goal you want to keep in mind or discuss during a future conversation.

2. During a Review (Conclusions Section)

In collaborative conversations (e.g., between manager and employee), you can:

  • Select or exchange value and competency cards

  • Add comments about the chosen cards

  • Define shared or individual card goals

This makes the cards not just a snapshot but a dynamic development tool that evolves over time.

βœ… Why Use Development Cards?

  • Encourage structured, meaningful conversations

  • Clarify strengths and values – for yourself and your team

  • Create shared understanding and language across roles

  • Turn development into a visible, ongoing process

✨ Whether for self-reflection or collaborative growth, development cards are your companions for unlocking potential.
